Engage in the radical act of sharing a table in the garden for a celebration of what’s on the table and who’s around it.
Born from light dappled afternoons filled with delicious food and company, for nearly 20 years. Join two friends as they celebrate the abundance of incredible produce and people in Southern California.
MARCH MENU
"The principle that underlies Whispering Thorns—the deep roots beneath the limestone of the riverbed, as some say in Texas—is a sacred understanding: whether we are brands, neighbors, or clients, we gather with intention. We come together to share, to connect, and to learn—not as a transaction, but as a radical act of service to one another. In the simple ritual of a shared meal, we weave a tapestry of belonging, creating moments that are not rushed but deeply felt. Here, in this garden of stories and flavors, we nourish not just the body, but the spirit, making slowly, remembering fully, and leaving changed."
OUR MARCH INSPIRATION
Our March menu finds us at the threshold of seasons — and here, together, we pause to feel it. While rivers dream of thaw and the promise of moving water stirs beneath the surface, we gather in that same spirit of becoming. Spring does not arrive all at once; it announces itself in gestures. In wild nettles pushing through cool soil. In sweet young carrots drawn from the earth. In cruciferous blossoms opening slowly to the light. These are the first offerings of emergence, and we receive them together.
In conversation with Italy — a place deeply rooted in its own enduring rhythms of land, table, and time — we reflect on what it means to belong not only to a season, but to one another within it. This menu is our shared expression of that dialogue: California’s wild edges meeting tradition, hands meeting across the table, appetite met with gratitude.
In March, as rivers dream, we gather — and in gathering, we begin our own thaw.
